Therapist Training / CE Programs

If you are interested in learning Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, individuals and families please contact me.  In addition to a number of 2021 learning opportunities you’ll find listed here, I can help you map out a path toward making the EFT method a part of your practice.  There is no better way to really have a solid grasp of EFT and move your skills forward in a major way than pursuing certification.  This process includes attending an Externship in EFT, completing Core Skills practical modules and getting direct clinical supervision.

A 6-CE Program:  “Getting Beneath Content to Work with Client Emotion.”  Tools for getting out of the content trap and into meaningful change processes.

Workshop Description:

This is an experiential continuing education skills enhancement program grounded in attachment theory.  The ability to work with emotion via present-process focus (being in therapeutic encounter versus talking about content issues) is critical to change events from an attachment lens.  From this stance, ordering and re-organizing key emotional responses shapes emotional balance and personal agency.

The 5 Moves and 5 Interventions that facilitate these change process moves are derived from the work of Dr. Sue Johnson, the originator of Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals, Couples and Families, (aka EFIT, EFT and EFFT, respectively).
