Our Practice
Our therapy practice:
We are a group of individual, family, and marriage therapists in Reno. The practice is grounded in bringing compassionate, focused counseling to difficulties in relationship, with depression and anxiety, and with trauma that prompt people to find professional help. Our therapists look at each individual’s whole circumstance without judgement. The mission is to help the people we work with experience a greater sense of connectedness, hope, clarity and meaning in their lives. All of us have extensive training and expertise but we listen and value your knowing of your own experience above all else. Openness and curiosity are essential ingredients of success in the couple counseling, individual therapy, marriage therapy and family therapy we do here.
Emotional & Relationship Health Associates:
Emotional Relationship Health Associates or ERHA-Reno, is composed of clinicians with a shared vision and heart about treatment. Cornelius (Con) Sheehan, LCSW is a therapist and Director. All of us are grounded in solid theory and method regarding the causes of emotional and relational distress, how people in therapy should be treated, and how the difficulties that brought them to therapy should be addressed professionally. Our standards for therapist training are high. We all bring advanced training to our individual, family, and marriage therapy in Reno.
Making sure you get the right help:
We have a large network of highly-qualified therapists we regularly refer to. When we
determine you would be better treated by one of these colleagues we don't hesitate to make
the referral. This is the reason every person we work with has an opportunity for a brief, no-cost telephone intake meeting with one of our therapists. It can be difficult to find the right
therapist and we want to help make sure you're headed in the right direction. If you are in immediate crisis you can reach caring, confidential help by dialing the Crisis Line at 988, the
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800-273-8255) or a medical emergency room. All of these
have the people and resources to help you stay safe and organize a path forward.
You are welcome here:
Our practice is affirming and welcoming regardless of sexual orientation, age, race, disability,
ethnicity/national origin, gender identity and/or religious/spiritual affiliation. ERHA-Reno therapists
each have specific training and experience working with varied populations.
